Description: Commissioned by the Public Transport Authority of Western Australia.
Each image is an amalgamation of male and female faces of Cockburn residents, an overlay of 250 people selected from the surrounding area, creating the ‘average face’ of the Cockburn resident.
Minister for Transport Rita Saffioti described them as ‘Creepy”.
It was removed in 2019 over safety concerns. In December 2019 the community voted on what they would like to see installed in their place, with a 43 per cent majority opting for a new piece of artwork.
